What this site is not
It is not a government website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to USCIS, the Department of Homeland Security, or any government agency. It is not a law firm, it does not employ attorneys, and nothing on it is legal advice.
It will not tell you whether you qualify for citizenship, whether an exemption applies to you, how to fill in Form N-400, or what to do about a problem in your case. Those are questions for a licensed immigration attorney or a DOJ-accredited representative, and getting them wrong is expensive. This site stays inside one job: helping you learn the published questions.
Where the questions come from
Every question and every accepted answer is reproduced from the official USCIS question list (form M-1778) for the 2025 version of the civics test. That document is a work of the United States federal government and is therefore in the public domain under 17 U.S.C. § 105.
Nothing is paraphrased, shortened or reworded, and no answers are invented. The list is parsed from the official PDF by a script rather than retyped, because retyping 128 questions and 410 answers by hand is how small errors get in. If USCIS publishes a revision, the script is re-run against the new file.
Why there are no multiple-choice options
The real civics test is oral: an officer asks, you answer out loud. Presenting four options would mean writing three wrong answers for every question, and those invented wrong answers would be the only text on the site that did not come from the government. On a page someone studies from at midnight before an interview, that is the last thing worth adding.
Why some answers are missing on purpose
Four questions ask who currently holds an office. USCIS does not print those names in its own list; it publishes them on a page it can update. This site does the same. Four more depend on your state: of those, only the state capital is published here, because capitals do not change and senators and governors do.
How it is paid for
Advertising. There is no paid tier, nothing is held back behind a signup, and no ads appear between questions during a practice run.
